Specode is a product built by Topflight. It's a HIPAA-compliant SaaS platform that lets developers and healthcare founders build production-grade healthcare applications without starting from scratch. We sit at the intersection of AI, developer tooling, and healthcare compliance and we’re looking for someone who can help us own that conversation online.
The Role
You'll manage Specode's social media presence and consistently create hook-first content that reaches developers, digital health builders, and healthcare founders. This is a content-first role: your job is to make Specode impossible to ignore in the communities that matter.
What You'll Do:
Create viral, hook-first content
- Write X threads and posts with hooks strong enough to stop a developer or clinician mid-scroll: leading with the pain, the surprising fact, or the counterintuitive take
- Spot trending topics and moments in adjacent communities (HIPAA news, healthcare AI, developer tool launches) and create timely content that rides the wave
- Script nad launch short YouTube videos that show how Specode helps founders ship compliant apps faster
- Develop repeatable content formats (e.g. "HIPAA myth vs reality", "what most health app founders get wrong") that can be templatized and handed to influencer partners
- Repurpose top-performing content across channels: a viral X thread becomes a LinkedIn post becomes a YouTube short
Build earned distribution
- Identify physicians, digital health builders, and developers with existing audiences in our target communities
- Build relationships and create content formats they can post in their own voice, pre-written threads, talking points, short video scripts
- Track what's gaining traction and turn successful content into a repeatable playbook
Learn and grow
- Work directly with Specode's Head of Growth: getting hands-on exposure to B2B content strategy, influencer distribution, and what it actually takes to build a brand in a technical niche from the ground up
What We're Looking For:
- Proven track record of creating content that actually performs: engagement, shares, and/or follower growth for a B2B brand, developer tools, healthcare, or a technical vertical is heavily preferred
- Self-directed: you build your own content calendar, track your own metrics, and iterate without being told to
- Strong written voice - you can explain a technical or compliance concept in a way that’s clear, credible, and shareable
- Fluent in X, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You understand how each platform rewards different behavior and you don't post the same content the same way across all three
Bonus Points:
- You’ve worked with or marketed developer tools, health tech, or compliance software
- You have an existing network in MedTwitter, digital health, or developer communities
- You understand what HIPAA is - you don’t need to be an expert, but you shouldn’t need it explained from scratch
Annual Salary:
$38,000
Important Notes:
- This role is open to US-based candidates only.
- We are a fully remote company with a global team. Flexibility with time zones and excellent communication skills are crucial.
- This is a 3 month internship with the explicit goal of converting the right person into a permanent team member of Specode/Topflight Apps.
