Internships for JD and MPP/MPA Candidates
Thank you for your interest in the National Redistricting Foundation (NRF). NRF’s mission is to dismantle unfair electoral maps and create a redistricting system based on democratic values. The Litigation and Policy Department develops and provides legal and policy analysis to achieve the organization’s mission.
NRF offers legal and policy internship opportunities for current JD, MPP, and MPA candidates during Spring, Summer, and Fall. Our internships are designed to be an integral part of your educational experience, offering practical skills and insights that complement your academic studies. Applications for Summer 2026 are now closed, and applications for Fall 2026 are open. Summer internships are full time (up to 40 hours per week) and Spring & Fall internships are part time (up to 20 hours per week).
Important Dates
Fall Semester 2026 (up to 20 hours per week)
- Begins: Monday, September 21
- Ends: Friday, November 20
- Applications close: Friday, July 17
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide status updates to every applicant, however we guarantee you will be notified of any decisions once applications close for that semester.
