Environmental Field Technician
Position Summary
Elemental Air, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Field Technician to support air-emissions sampling projects at industrial facilities. This position is based out of our Kirkland, Washington location and combines hands-on fieldwork, technical data analysis, equipment maintenance, and client interaction. The ideal candidate is adaptable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in dynamic industrial environments with frequent travel, including overnight assignments.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct air-emissions sampling at industrial facilities, including multi-day and overnight field assignments
- Perform data analysis and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures on collected samples
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports for submission to clients and regulatory agencies
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot sampling equipment, including minor mechanical and electrical repairs
- Prepare for field projects by organizing equipment, verifying readiness, and coordinating logistics
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand and meet project requirements both on-site and remotely
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science- or engineering-environmental or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Field and/or laboratory experience through internships, coursework, or related roles
- Basic laboratory or chemistry knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and SharePoint
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude (e.g., equipment calibration, use of hand tools, maintenance)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and Professionalism
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70%, including frequent overnight travel within Washington State and throughout the United States
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work at heights (100+ feet)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Work Environment & Expectations
- Work is performed in industrial sites.
- Regular climbing of ladders and stairs and exposure to moving machinery
- OSHA-required medical monitoring and safety training is required and will be provided
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: ? based on experience and qualifications
- Eligible for overtime pay (1.5x hourly rate for hours worked over 40 per week)
- Potential eligibility for performance-based bonuses
