About Us
Lapistone Advisors LLC is a newly established Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) based in the Sioux Falls area, providing investment management services to individuals and families and business owners. As a growing firm, we offer interns meaningful, hands-on exposure to the work of a fiduciary advisory practice and direct mentorship.
The Role
We're hiring an Investment Analyst Intern to support the investment and client-service functions of the firm. This is a ground-floor, on-site opportunity to learn how an RIA operates from the inside and to contribute directly to research and analysis that informs real client decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct company, industry, and market research to support investment recommendations
- Build and maintain financial models, spreadsheets, and performance reports
- Assist with portfolio analysis, asset allocation reviews, and rebalancing preparation
- Compile data for client meetings, proposals, and review materials
- Support operational and compliance tasks, including documentation and recordkeeping
- Help with ad hoc projects as the firm builds out its processes
Qualifications
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
- Currently pursuing a degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Interest in investments, capital markets, and financial planning
- Familiarity with financial statements and valuation concepts a plus
- Progress toward the CFA or CFP credential is a plus but not required
