Middle School Math Teacher

Riverside Christian School is seeking a passionate, caring, self-motivated and dynamic individuals who is fully vested in enhancing the learning opportunities for Riverside Christian School students - (1) full time Math teacher.

Requirements:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in education or related field.

• Prior teaching or professional experience in content area is preferred.

• Must be comfortable with technology (i.e. computers, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.).

• Prior experience with Learning Management Systems is preferred.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior.

• Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living.

• Agree to Riverside Christian School’s Statement of Faith and seek, in speech and actions, to glorify God.

• Have a deep appreciation for the culture and values of Riverside Christian School.

• Present an attitude that inspires the love of learning.

• Utilize NorthStar Academy’s online course material to teach lessons onsite.

• Enhance the learning opportunities to best fit each student’s learning style.

• Provide enrichment through student engagement including discussions, group activities, hands-on activities, field trips, etc.

• Find additional resources, as appropriate, to enhance the learning experience.

• Assist students with communication with NorthStar Academy teachers as needed.

• Ensure that students are remaining on schedule to complete courses by the Riverside Christian School semester end date.

• Demonstrate a Christ-centered rapport with students, parents, staff, and the community.

• Uphold professional standards of attitude, appearance, punctuality, courtesy and discretion.

• Attend and support all assigned school functions.

• Other duties as assigned.
