Collection Administrator

Job Description: 

Kramer & Frank P.C. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Collection Administrator. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient recovery of outstanding debts while maintaining professionalism and compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and negotiation skills and thrives in a fast-paced call center environment.


POSITION SUMMARY:
The Collection Administrator is responsible for contacting individuals, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate records of all communications.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contact consumers via phone, email, and written correspondence to negotiate and secure payment arrangements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection efforts in the system.
• Research and locate debtors using skip-tracing tools and other investigative methods.
• Follow federal and state collection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Provide excellent customer service while handling financial negotiations.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other departments to escalate cases when necessary.
• Process payments, set up recurring payment plans, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls efficiently to maximize recovery efforts.
• Perform other duties and assignments as required.


SCOPE OF INTERACTION:
Interacts with internal office personnel, attorneys, court clerks, external attorneys, and consumers.


EDUCATION, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE, & SPECIALIZED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Previous experience in collections, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn industry-specific software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour, paid semi-monthly.
+Bonus' available when meeting the semi-monthly metric goals.

+Commission on total collected.


Schedule:
• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
