Communications Intern
Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid) | Part-Time | $20/hr | 10 Weeks | June 16 – August 24, 2026
We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis and encourage early submission. This position begins June 16, 2026.
About the Role
Leadership Impact Strategies (LIS) is a Jacksonville-based executive consulting firm that helps mid-market organizations rapidly improve team alignment, accountability, and execution. Our clients are C-suite and senior leaders across financial services, insurance, commercial real estate, and professional services.
This is a high-ownership role with direct access to the CEO. This summer, we're bringing on a graduate-level Communications Intern to help build the CEO's visibility and thought leadership presence. Your work will reach real audiences, not sit in a classroom case study.
What You'll Own
1. Podcast and Speaking Outreach Research relevant industry podcasts and speaking opportunities, draft pitch materials, and maintain a tracking system for submissions and responses. The goal is to consistently get the CEO in front of the right audiences.
2. Earned Visibility Research Identify and track local and regional recognition opportunities, including business journal lists, industry nominations, and community recognitions such as the Jacksonville Business Journal's annual awards. You'll assess fit, flag the strongest opportunities, and lead the drafting of submissions.
3. Thought Leadership Drafting Ghostwrite articles, LinkedIn content, and short-form pieces in the CEO's voice. This requires strong writing instincts and the ability to translate executive ideas into polished, audience-ready content.
4. Speaking Engagement Amplification Repurpose completed speaking engagements into written assets, including recap articles, LinkedIn posts, and media pitch angles, to extend the reach of content that has already been delivered.

- Skilled at writing in someone else's voice with minimal back-and-forth
