Grants & Fundraising Intern
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Grants & Fundraising Intern to support fundraising, donor engagement, and grant development efforts for the organization. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in nonprofit development, grant writing, fundraising strategy, public policy, communications, or international development.
The intern will assist with identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant materials, supporting donor outreach, and helping coordinate fundraising campaigns and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Research grant and funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Assist in drafting grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and fundraising materials
- Help maintain donor and funding databases
- Support fundraising campaigns and donor outreach activities
- Assist with sponsorship proposals and partnership engagement
- Conduct research on nonprofit funding trends and opportunities
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and impact summaries
- Support planning and coordination of fundraising events and initiatives
- Assist with social media and digital fundraising efforts when needed
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, English, or related field
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, and community impact
- Previous grant writing or fundraising experience is a plus
