Foodservice Marketing Intern

Location: In-Person | Union City, CA 

Reporting Structure: Director of Fresh Foods Duration: 10 Weeks

Pay: $24-$25 hourly

Position Summary We are seeking a creative, trend-driven intern to support the marketing and brand growth of Loop Neighborhood Market and Poppy Market foodservice and dispensed beverage programs. This role will focus on social media content creation, digital marketing, influencer outreach, promotional support, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is passionate about branding, food culture, social trends, and creating engaging customer experiences both online and in-store.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Content and Brand Marketing
    • Create social and digital content for foodservice and dispensed beverage promotions
    • Capture and edit short-form videos, photography, and behind-the-scenes content
    • Assist with POP signage, digital graphics, and promotional campaigns
    • Support social media scheduling and content calendars
    • Help maintain consistent branding across in-store and digital channels
  • Influencer and Community Engagement
    • Identify and coordinate with local influencers and community partners
    • Support store events, activations, and promotional outreach
    • Help grow the foodservice brand presence online and within local communities
  • Trend and Business Support
    • Monitor Millennial, Gen Z, foodservice, and convenience retail trends
    • Assist with campaign reporting, presentations, and creative organization
    • Participate in store visits, tastings, and field observations, to better understand the customer experience.

 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Passion for social media, branding, food culture, and consumer engagement
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Creative mindset with ability to think outside the box
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and creating social/video content
  • Interest in foodservice, dispensed beverages, retail trends, and brand storytelling

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram reels, and short form video trends
  • Photography and video editing experience preferred
  • Understanding of influencer marketing and social engagement strategies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
