Role Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented Product Photographers to capture high-quality images of artwork and antiques for our online auctions. This role focuses on accurate, consistent, sophisticated visual documentation rather than stylized or editorial photography.
The ideal candidate understands how to represent objects truthfully—capturing color, texture, and condition with precision to support buyer confidence and will be given clear creative ownership (within brand guidelines), professional studio equipment and allowance, an opportunity to shape the visual brand identity of the company, and a predictable workflow that respects and prioritizes work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Photograph a wide range of items including paintings, furniture, decorative objects, and collectibles;
- Produce clean, upscale, consistent images for online catalog listings;
- Capture multiple angles, including detail shots highlighting condition and texture;
- Ensure accurate color representation and lighting consistency across items;
- Manage basic photo editing (color correction, cropping, exposure balancing);
- Maintain organized file naming and image delivery workflows;
- Collaborate with cataloging and operations teams to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience in product photography, art reproduction, or still-life photography;
- Strong understanding of studio lighting and composition;
- Ability to accurately capture color and surface detail;
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Lightroom;
- Detail-oriented with a consistent, methodical workflow;
- Comfortable working with fragile and valuable objects;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds, unpack boxes, and move furniture and other objects;
- Comfortable with extended periods of standing
