Pre-Law Apprentice – NYC Law Firm (Summer + Fall Opportunity)

A New York City law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Law Apprentice to join its legal support team. This is a hands-on opportunity for students interested in pursuing law school to gain real-world legal experience in a professional setting.

This role begins as a full-time summer position (35 hours per week, on-site in NYC), with the potential to transition into a part-time role (approximately 10 hours per week) during the fall, either remotely or on-site.

About the Role
As a Pre-Law Apprentice, you will support the firm’s legal team with administrative and operational tasks while gaining exposure to the inner workings of a law firm. This position is ideal for students looking to build foundational legal and professional skills before applying to law school.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with legal and administrative support tasks

Organize documents, files, and case materials

Conduct basic research and data entry

Support attorneys and staff with day-to-day operations

Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all work

Eligibility Requirements

Currently pursuing a pre-law track or planning to attend law school after graduation

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Ability to work on-site in New York City during the summer

Availability to commit 35 hours per week during summer, with potential continuation in fall
