About MetaComet

MetaComet Systems builds royalty and rights management software for publishers and revenue-sharing businesses. Our platform helps clients automate complex royalty calculations, reduce errors, and run their operations more efficiently. We serve customers across North America, the UK, and Europe, in industries including publishing, media, gaming, and music.

You don't need to know anything about royalties on day one — we'll teach you. What matters is that you're a strong B2B seller who is curious, coachable, and excited to work with real customers on real business problems.

The Role

You'll own the full sales cycle for our small-business and mid-market opportunities — from first contact through signed contract — while supporting our VP of Sales on larger, more complex deals. A typical week includes outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, discovery calls, live software demos, building proposals, and keeping your pipeline clean in HubSpot.

This is a hands-on, in-person role because we believe the fastest way to become a great AE is to work alongside experienced ones. You'll be in the room for deal reviews, shadow senior reps on live calls, and get real-time coaching as you ramp. If you're early in your sales career and want to level up fast, that environment is hard to beat.

What you'll do

Prospect and qualify new opportunities through outbound outreach, inbound leads, LinkedIn research, and industry networking

Run discovery calls to understand prospect needs, workflows, and fit

Deliver live product demonstrations

Build proposals and pricing using our internal tools and templates

Manage the full sales cycle for SMB and mid-market deals

Keep pipeline, forecasting, and activity data accurate in HubSpot

Partner with the VP of Sales on larger or more complex opportunities

Represent MetaComet at occasional trade shows and industry events

What we're looking for

2–4 years of B2B sales experience in any industry (SaaS, technology, or software sales a plus, but not required)

Comfortable making outbound calls and running discovery conversations with business buyers

Experience managing a pipeline in any modern CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Dynamics, Zoho, or similar — we use HubSpot, and we'll train you on it)

Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting software on video calls

Organized and self-directed — you can juggle multiple deals at different stages without losing track

Coachable, curious, and genuinely interested in understanding how customers run their business

Nice to have (not required)

SaaS sales experience

Experience with a structured sales methodology (MEDDIC, SPICED, Challenger, Sandler, SPIN, etc.)

Familiarity with proposal tools like PandaDoc or DocuSign, or prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator

Any exposure to publishing, media, licensing, or royalty/rights workflows

Why join MetaComet

Real mentorship. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with an experienced VP of Sales and a team that takes coaching seriously.

A specialized product in a real market. We're not competing with 50 other SaaS vendors — our clients come to us because of what we do specifically.

A full-cycle role from day one. You'll run real deals, not just set meetings for someone else.

Room to grow into a full Account Executive role as you ramp.

How to apply

Apply directly through Indeed — just click "Apply with Indeed" and attach your resume. We review every application and typically respond within a few business days.

In your resume, please include sales metrics where you can — quota attainment, deal sizes, win rates, or anything else that shows the numbers behind your performance. We care more about what you've actually done than how long your resume is.
