Student Production Assistant TUIP

POSITION:  STUDENT PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

DESCRIPTION:

The “Student Production Assistant” will report to the Sr. Producer & Asst. Production Manager and assigned with a variety of tasks for both digital and on-air production at WRTI. Tasks may include:
 

Recording (Live / Studio) 

  • Set-up
  • Breakdown
  • Audio signal flow and troubleshooting

On-Air and Digital Content 

  • Promos / Spots 
  • Long-Form Radio Programs
  • Long-Form Podcasts (The Late Set). 

Video (Pre-Production / On-Set / Post-Production)

  • Planning / Research
  • Interview Prep
  • Camera Operator
  • Editing
  • Graphics
  • Audio Mix
     

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Comfortable with both complex technology with creative visual skills. 
  • Knowledge of audio recording hardware and software and audio post production techniques.
  • Audio and/or Video editing and post-production experience. 
  • Understanding of graphic design concepts and software (Photoshop, Canva, etc.)
  • The ability to frame and compose live camera shots.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The capacity to multi-task and take direction from others.
  • Broad knowledge of instruments and their preparation.

 

EXAMPLE OF WORK:

Please share anything you’ve worked on in the past year that relates to multi-media (photo, video, audio, etc.) 

 

Project hours of position are 10-15 hrs per week with occasional on-call work with advance notice of WRTI Productions. 

 

This internship is part of the Temple University Internship Program (TUIP), which is open to all undergraduates. Students cannot obtain academic credit for this internship. Students may only work in one TUIP internship at a time, but you can apply for more than one internship.
