Research Assistant
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant with a strong scientific background who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in clinical research, medical care, and academic publishing.
This role is ideal for a gap year or pre-med candidate who wants meaningful exposure to research, patient care, and the process of producing publishable scientific work.
You will work directly with a facial plastic surgeon in a fast-paced, innovation-driven clinical environment focused on aesthetics, regenerative medicine, and longevity.
What You Will Do
This is a hybrid role combining clinical research, medical assistant duties, and academic writing.
Clinical Research Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and executing clinical trials
- Participate in writing study protocols, materials & methods, and grant proposals
- Support IRB submissions and research documentation
- Coordinate and schedule patients for clinical trials
- Manage patient recruitment, enrollment, and follow-ups
- Collect and record clinical data, measurements, and outcomes
- Assist in study analysis and manuscript preparation
Publications & Academic Work
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications
- Opportunity to be first or second author on papers
- High performers may contribute to multiple publications per year (up to 5–6)
Clinical / Medical Assistant Duties
- Room patients and assist with clinical flow
- Take standardized medical photography (training provided)
- Conduct patient interviews and document SOAP notes
- Assist with general patient care and procedures

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field
- Prior research experience
- Publications (preferred but not required)
- Interest in medicine, aesthetics, or clinical research

Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $23–$26/hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Part-time preferred (open to full-time for the right candidate)
- Start Date: Immediate
