Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern will work closely with the accounting team to support financial operations for both individuals and businesses. This internship provides hands on exposure to tax preparation, transactional accounting, payroll processing, and financial planning support.

This position is ideal for students who want real world experience working inside an accounting firm and supporting client financial operations.

Responsibilities

Tax Preparation Support

Assist with organizing client tax documents and financial records
Support preparation of individual and business tax files
Review financial documentation for accuracy and completeness
Assist in gathering required information for tax filings

Transactional Accounting

Assist with bookkeeping and transaction categorization
Support reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
Maintain organized financial records for client accounts
Assist with updating accounting systems and reports

Payroll Processing

Support payroll preparation and documentation
Assist with payroll record organization and reporting
Help verify payroll data and employee records

Financial Planning Support

Assist with preparing financial summaries and reports
Support client financial organization and budgeting preparation
Help gather financial data used for financial planning discussions
Assist with preparing documents for client financial reviews

Administrative Accounting Support

Maintain organized client files and financial documentation
Assist the accounting team with financial data entry
Support internal accounting operations and reporting

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally

Internship Structure

Interns will complete an initial training period focused on company systems and processes. After successful completion of training, interns will transition into a paid internship role where they will gain hands on experience working with client financial operations.
