The Marketing and Community Relations Coordinator position requires a creative strategist who thrives at the intersection of tradition and innovation.

As a key member of a high-functioning team, you support media planning, web management, and editorial projects. You are an excellent storyteller dedicated to promoting our "Deaf. Blind. Limitless." brand and shaping public perception through authentic, engaging messaging.
.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications or Marketing from an accredited college or university OR three (3) years of experience in public relations or communications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years of experience in digital/social media communications, including planning and managing digital content.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media & Content Strategy
- Strategy & Execution: Develop, manage, and implement comprehensive social media strategies for AIDB and the AIDB Foundation to drive engagement and brand growth.
- Content Creation: Formulate high-quality, creative digital content—including copy, graphics, and photography—tailored for various campaigns and platforms.
- Community Management: Oversee all social media messaging and monitoring; engage with the community by responding to comments and inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Platform Expertise: Maintain advanced knowledge of best practices for Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, and emerging platforms to ensure maximum reach.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of the latest social media technologies, algorithm changes, and industry trends to keep AIDB’s digital presence competitive.
Brand Management & Internal Coordination
- Brand Stewardship: Build and protect brand awareness for AIDB and its departments, ensuring strict adherence to official logo and brand standards.
- Quality Control: Review and approve the use of logos across all units/departments and edit website content to ensure accuracy, style, and institutional voice.
- Publication Support: Lead the internal coordination of the Sights & Sounds media publication.
- Media Scheduling: Collaborate with the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) to manage media calendars and ensure all events and marketing projects are documented in shared drives.
Public Relations & Operations
- Community Outreach: Coordinate and manage all community tour schedules and public-facing engagements.
- Logistics & Inventory: Order and maintain an inventory of marketing materials and promotional items for donor and event distribution.
- Public Representation: Deliver exceptional oral and written communications, including public speaking and presentations to diverse audiences.

- Communication Access: Must obtain a sign language proficiency level of SURVIVAL according to the AIDB evaluation system within the first thirty-six (36) months of employment.

SALARY: $53,599 - $71,503 Scale P1 Rank 52
