Founder Operator / GTM Associate — AI Startup
ZUUZ is an early-stage AI startup based in Sunnyvale, building an AI sales platform that helps companies turn missed customer signals from emails, meetings, and documents into revenue pipeline.
We are looking for a hands-on Founder Operator / GTM Associate to work directly with the founder and support day-to-day execution across sales, events, partnerships, CRM, LinkedIn, and customer follow-up.
This is not a normal internship where you wait for instructions. You will work close to the founder, attend events, capture leads, organize follow-ups, prepare meeting notes, coordinate with the sales team, and help keep execution moving every day.
The ideal person is organized, fast, reliable, comfortable with startup chaos, and excited to learn how an AI startup is built from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the founder on daily GTM and operations execution.
- Attend startup, AI, SaaS, and partner events in the Bay Area when needed.
- Capture leads, business cards, meeting notes, and action items from events and meetings.
- Update CRM and lead trackers after meetings/events.
- Coordinate follow-ups with the sales pipeline owner.
- Prepare short meeting briefs before customer, partner, or investor calls.
- Help schedule demos, customer meetings, and partner meetings.
- Track pending follow-ups and make sure nothing gets missed.
- Support LinkedIn and founder-brand execution by organizing content ideas, event updates, and engagement notes.
- Coordinate with internal team members, advisors, and contractors.
- Prepare weekly execution reports for founder review.
- Help reduce founder admin load so the founder can focus on customers, demos, events, and closing.
Requirements:
- Based in or near Sunnyvale / Bay Area.
- Available to work in person 3–4 days per week.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Very organized and comfortable managing trackers, notes, calendars, and follow-ups.
- Comfortable using tools like Google Sheets, Excel, Notion, HubSpot/CRM, LinkedIn, Gmail/Outlook, and AI tools.
- Able to move fast without needing constant reminders.
- Interested in startups, AI, SaaS, sales, marketing, or venture-backed companies.
- Comfortable attending events and speaking with founders, customers, partners, and investors.
- Strong ownership mindset — if something is assigned, you follow through.
Nice to have:
- Experience with sales, SDR work, CRM, marketing, events, or startup operations.
- Interest in AI, enterprise software, SaaS, RevOps, or B2B sales.
- Prior internship at a startup or student organization leadership experience.
- Comfortable creating simple LinkedIn posts, meeting summaries, and follow-up emails.
This role is ideal for someone who wants real startup exposure.
You will see how customer meetings happen, how demos are booked, how events create pipeline, how investors and partners are managed, and how a founder makes daily decisions.
You will not be doing boring admin work only. You will be close to real sales, GTM, product feedback, and company-building.
Success in this role means:
- Founder follow-ups are no longer missed.
- Event contacts are captured and organized quickly.
- CRM and trackers stay updated.
- Customer and partner meetings are prepared properly.
- Weekly execution is clear.
- More demos are booked.
- Founder spends more time with customers and less time on admin work.
Why join ZUUZ:
- Work directly with the founder of an AI startup.
- Get hands-on exposure to sales, GTM, operations, AI, SaaS, partnerships, and startup fundraising.
- Attend real startup and technology events in the Bay Area.
- Build practical experience that is hard to get in a normal internship.
- Opportunity to grow into a full-time role based on performance.
Schedule:
- 20–30 hours per week to start.
- In-person/hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA.
- Some evening or event availability may be needed.
- Potential to convert to full-time based on performance.
