Reports to: Scientific Team/Chief Science Officer
SUMMARY:
ISC is seeking interns to assist our Discovery and Development team. The interns in this role will work closely with team members and collaborators to develop an AI and Bioinformatics-driven platform for biological discoveries destined for Agriculture, Forestry and Water applications. The interns will assist in supporting computational initiatives and development to target discovery programs via genomics, transcriptomics and metabolomics disciplines, in a high energy, innovative start up environment. It will include prior knowledge of AI software, workflows, biological systems, database searches and integration into a usable platform. Candidates must have programming language knowledge including CLAUDE.
This is a paid internship. Rate per hour is determined by year in school. Freshmen start lower, seniors are higher.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Essential Functions
- Biological Research software and CLAUDE platform application
- Database search and data integration automation
- Development of algorithms to aid discovery and development
- Utilization of on-line resources for enhancing research workflows
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Student working toward BS or MS in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related field
Pre-employment drug test may be required.
