This position will require a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Geology.  No experience is necessary.

DESCRIPTION

The Chemist is responsible for receiving, labeling, and analyzing samples inbound field samples, in addition to running performance equipment and designing performance matrices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• -Performs Complete Water Analysis: preparation of samples to be run on the ICP and titrations; records the data for each sample and transfers it into our database
• -Solids and Millipore analysis
• -Coupons analysis, including corrosion-type determination
• -Chemical residual testing using spectroscopy
• -Cold finger analysis
• -Preparation of oilfield carryover samples
• -Corrosion and Scale Modeling
• -Project Support: Assisting with incoming project requests and/or specialized technical service RFP tasks as needed
• -Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Daily physical demands of the position include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, bending, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.

TRAVEL

This position requires 5% local travel
