About Us

Vinyl + Thread is a boutique record and vintage clothing store located in DUMBO, Brooklyn. We combine a curated selection of vinyl records and fashion with a strong focus on music, design, and culture.

Our sister company, ML Presents, produces live music events and entertainment experiences throughout New York City.

We are building two distinctive brands at the intersection of music, fashion, and live performance, and we are looking for a creative professional to help shape our visual identity and digital presence.

We are looking for a creative, organized, and highly motivated Graphic Designer & Social Media Manager to lead the visual identity and online presence of both brands.

Responsibilities

  • Design posters, flyers, digital ads, and email graphics
  • Create content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and email campaigns
  • Manage and grow social media accounts
  • Photograph products, store displays, and live events
  • Capture and edit short-form video content for reels and stories
  • Write captions and schedule posts
  • Track engagement and recommend growth strategies
  • Help shape the overall visual direction of both brands

Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design work
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with Canva and social media scheduling tools
  • Photography and video editing skills
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Passion for music, fashion, and live events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience managing social media for a brand or business
  • Familiarity with current design and social media trends
