Supply Chain Intern

The Supply Chain Intern will provide hands-on experience in supply chain management, inventory control, procurement, production planning, and logistics within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, eager to learn, organized, analytical, and interested in developing a career in supply chain or operations management. This role has potential to move to a part-time position.

Description

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with inventory tracking, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation activities
  • Support procurement and purchasing activities, including supplier communication and purchase order tracking
  • Help analyze production schedules and material availability to support manufacturing operations
  • Collect, organize, and analyze supply chain data using spreadsheets and the ERP system
  • Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and waste elimination
  • Prepare reports and presentations related to inventory levels, supplier performance, and operational metrics
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, quality, and customer service teams to support daily operations
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working with data analysis or reporting tools
