Internship Opportunity: Electrical Engineering (Aviation)

DY Consultants is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a rapidly growing airport engineering consultancy. As an intern, you will work alongside senior engineers on high-profile airport improvement projects, both domestically and internationally, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of aviation infrastructure.

Location

NYC Headquarters Office, Princeton NJ Office

Key Responsibilities

• Design Support: Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings and plans for airport development, including underground electrical infrastructure layouts, details, and schedules.
• Technical Documentation: Help draft technical reports, specifications, and project proposals for local and international airport clients.
• Infrastructure Analysis: Support the team in evaluating utilities, visual aids, and navigational aids for airside projects.
• Collaboration: Participate in project meetings and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Regulatory Learning: Gain exposure to industry-specific standards and FAA/ICAO and NEC regulations governing airport construction.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering.
• Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• An interest in aviation and large-scale infrastructure development.
