ABOUT THE ROLE
The RFP Team Intern will support the Proposal and Sales teams by identifying, qualifying, and analyzing government and public-sector opportunities across multiple bid platforms (e.g., GovSpend, BidPrime, Sweetspot). This role contributes directly to pipeline development by improving how opportunities are sourced, evaluated, and prioritized.
In addition to supporting day-to-day RFP identification, this role will focus on enhancing internal processes through automation and AI, leveraging tools such as ChatGPT/Glean/Sweetspot and other emerging technologies to improve search accuracy, qualification (go or no-go), and proposal development workflows. The intern will also support content development and organization across platforms such as SharePoint, Canva, and Adobe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Opportunity Qualification and Fit Scoring
o RFP search improvements and classification within search tools
o Improve organization and delivery of bid candidates to the RFP Team and others
o Develop and maintain a structured “fit score” framework to support go or no-go decisions, including technical fit, project size, risk, and win probability
o Analyze RFP documents and use AI tools such as ChatGPT/Glean/Sweetspot to extract key requirements, evaluation criteria, and risks
o Support creation of concise qualification summaries for internal stakeholders
· AI and Workflow Optimization: Research and evaluate AI tools, including improving proposal construction processes:
o Requirement extraction and summarization
o Proposal drafting and content reuse
o Prototype and test AI-assisted workflows such as automated RFP summaries, compliance matrices, and keyword tagging
o Identify opportunities to integrate AI into existing tools and workflows, including SharePoint-based knowledge management
o Document findings and recommend scalable process improvements
· Proposal Operations and Content Development
o Support organization and optimization of proposal libraries, templates, and reusable assets within SharePoint
o Help standardize and streamline proposal formatting, branding, and layout consistency
o Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks such as boilerplate responses and document formatting
· Market and Competitive Intelligence
o Conduct research on target agencies, upcoming procurements, incumbents, and competitors
o Perform gap analysis of Transit Technologies’ solutions against RFP requirements and market expectations
o Track and summarize industry trends and procurement patterns using structured research methods
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Pursuing or recently completed degree in relevant field
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
