Graphic Design and Marketing Intern for Mental Health Practice
We are seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Graphic Design & Marketing Intern to support our teen counseling practice. This internship is ideal for a student studying graphic design, branding, or digital marketing, with a passion for mental health advocacy.
The intern will assist with creating visual content, supporting marketing initiatives, and helping strengthen our online presence across social media, website content, and promotional materials.
This is a great opportunity to build a portfolio while gaining hands-on experience in a mission-driven small business environment.
Responsibilities
- Design graphics for social media, blogs, newsletters, and marketing campaigns
- Create print and digital materials including flyers and brochures
- Assist with website updates and visual branding consistency
- Support social media planning and content scheduling
- Help develop marketing ideas to increase community engagement and brand awareness
- Edit photos, graphics, and short-form video content as needed
- Collaborate with the team on creative projects and outreach initiatives
- Conduct basic research on marketing trends, SEO, and audience engagement
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Experience with Canva or similar design tools
- Strong visual design skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Experience with website platforms such as Squarespace
- Excellent written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Interest in mental health, wellness, or healthcare marketing is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Basic video editing experience
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies
- Photography or content creation experience
Internship Details
- Part-time internship (flexible hours, 10-12 hours/week)
- Hybrid or remote options available
- Duration: 6-8 weeks
- Compensation: $22/hour
*Significant flexibility in schedule, duration, and format of hours dependent on candidates' needs and skillset
