Position Overview
We are seeking an Outreach, Partnerships & Communications Intern to support strategic growth through partnerships, public relations, and communication systems.
This role is ideal for candidates interested in business development, nonprofit management, marketing strategy, and communications.
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations & Media Outreach
- Research and contact media outlets (TV, news, online publications)
- Draft outreach emails and pitch materials
- Coordinate and assist with media visits to the sanctuary
Partnership Development
- Identify and connect with nonprofits, brands, and organizations
- Develop collaboration opportunities and joint initiatives
- Maintain partnership tracking and follow-ups
CRM & Outreach Campaigns
- Work within CRM systems to manage contacts and outreach
- Assist with campaigns via email, SMS, and phone outreach
- Track engagement and optimize communication strategies
College & Recruitment Outreach
- Build relationships with universities and academic programs
- Support internship recruiting efforts
- Coordinate with professors and career centers
Guest Communication & Experience Support
- Respond to guest inquiries (email, text, social media)
- Assist with bookings, rescheduling, and general questions
- Maintain professional and timely communication
Website & Systems Support
- Assist with website updates and improvements
- Help organize backend systems (Google Drive, Dropbox, CRM)
- Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
Event & On-Site Support
- Assist with sanctuary events and outreach initiatives
- Help coordinate logistics and guest engagement
- Support on-site operations as needed

Compensation
