Merchandising Assistant (Walmart Account – Apparel)

Location: Northwest Arkansas (Satellite Office)

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant to support our Walmart account team for a growing apparel brand. This role is heavily focused on sample management, merchandising coordination, and administrative support to ensure seamless execution with Walmart.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career—especially candidates with supply chain, logistics, retail, or apparel exposure—to gain hands-on experience in a Walmart supplier environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to the Walmart sales/merchandising team
• Manage sample inventory and logistics, including:
  • Tracking, organizing, and shipping samples
  • Preparing samples for buyer meetings and line reviews
  • Maintaining accurate logs and inventory controls
• Assist with item setup, product data, and merchandising systems updates
• Coordinate with internal teams (design, production, logistics) to ensure on-time execution
• Support creation of sales decks, assortments, and meeting materials
• Track timelines and ensure deadlines are met across multiple projects
• Provide general administrative and operational support

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (recent graduates preferred)
• Internship or exposure to supply chain, inventory management, or logistics
• Experience in apparel, textiles, or retail (especially clothing)
• Basic understanding of fabrics/textiles and garment construction
• Exposure to Walmart systems (Retail Link, Scintilla)
• Experience handling inventory or physical product (samples, stockrooms, etc.)
