Criminal Defense Paralegal
Job Summary:
Our busy, client-centered criminal defense firm is seeking a Paralegal to manage case documentation from arraignment through trial. The ideal candidate has an interest in criminal defense, exceptional attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and file motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents in state/federal courts.
- Manage case files, including discovery review, organizing evidence, and bates stamping.
- Communicate with clients, prosecutors, and court staff with professionalism and empathy.
- Schedule hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
- Prepare attorney binders for hearings and trials.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate or degree
- Proficiency in electronic court filing (E-file) systems.
- Knowledge of criminal law terminology and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
