About You:
You are friendly, compassionate, and have a passion for helping others. You excel at proofreading documents, organization, and anticipating office needs. You are able to work independently and are comfortable speaking with clients on the phone and in person. You always exhibit integrity in everything you do - you’re the same when others are watching and when they aren’t, and you can confidently handle confidential information.

Full Time: M-F; 40 hours

Duties Include:
- Answering phones and greeting clients
- Performing intake interviews with potential clients to determine if our firm is the right fit for the caller's needs
- Scheduling client appointments
- Organizing case files
- Helping with client billing
- Preparing a first draft of legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents
- Preparing estate administration paperwork and guardianship paperwork to be filed with the court
- Sending out required notices
- Notarizing documents
- Keeping track of deadlines
- Proofreading legal documents and correspondence
- E-filing court documents
- E-recording deeds
- Registering attorneys for CLE
- Making travel arrangements for attorneys
- Managing exhibit tables at events the firm sponsors
You will be the main point of contact for clients and must be able to communicate effectively and speak compassionately to clients and potential clients who may be experiencing a recent loss or disability. Proofreading skills, organization, and close attention to detail are essential to this role.
Qualifications:
- Strong Communication skills and ability to interact professionally and compassionately with clients
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and proofreading skills
- Though not required, prior experience in estate planning, probate, guardianship, elder law, or special needs planning is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification or experience
- Must be a notary or willing to obtain notary license paid for by the firm
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: Clio Grow, Clio Manage, E-Recording, E-Filing, Calendly, Drafting software
Compensation and Benefits:
- $45,000-$65,000, dependent on experience
