About The Role 

Westman Atelier is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Product Development Intern to join our New York–based team, reporting to the Product Development team. The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, and highly detail-oriented — someone who is passionate about beauty innovation and excited by the behind-the-scenes process of bringing luxury beauty products to life.

In this role, you will support day-to-day Product Development initiatives across formula development, product testing, sample management, competitive research, and launch coordination. You will assist with organizing product submissions, tracking timelines, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to help ensure launches stay on schedule and aligned with brand standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Product Development team in day-to-day management of product development timelines and launch calendars
  • Assist with competitive product research, market trends, and category analysis across prestige and luxury beauty brands
  • Help organize, track, and manage product submissions, lab samples, and shade assortments
  • Assist in coordinating product testing and collecting feedback on formulas, shades, textures, and packaging
  • Maintain and update internal trackers, product development documents, and sample inventories
  • Support cross-functional communication between Product Development, Packaging, Creative, Marketing, and Operations teams
  • Assist with preparing presentations, product recaps, and meeting materials using Google Slides and Sheets
  • Help coordinate shipments, mailers, and product send-outs related to development and launch needs
  • Support launch readiness by helping gather assets, organize product information, and track key milestones
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Product Development team as needed

Requirements:

  • NYC preferred
  • Prior internship experience in product development, beauty, marketing, merchandising, or related fields preferred
  • Passion for beauty, product innovation, and luxury branding
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Startup or beauty brand experience is a plus
  • This is a remote-first position, with some expectation to be in person at our NYC office
