HR Intern – Process Improvement & AI Focus

Onsite 5 days a week in San Ramon, CA. 

Supports the global project redesigning our global Talent Acquisition process to ensure a streamlined, AI‑enabled, and easy‑to‑navigate hiring process that leverages intelligent systems to drive efficiency, with clear expectations, timely communication, and shared accountability - resulting hiring high‑impact talent all while thoughtfully incorporating the perspectives of candidates, hiring managers, and HRBPs.

Responsibilities

 

  • Partner closely with the Recruiting team to document, evaluate, and redesign recruiting processes, starting with current-state workflows.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, manual workarounds, and opportunities to streamline processes—both through technology and improved communication or documentation.
  • Conduct research on AI and automation tools that can support recruiting and onboarding (e.g., resume screening tools, conversational AI, document generation), and contribute ideas to the future HR technology roadmap.
  • Help design and build lightweight, AI-enabled solutions such as templates, prompts, and simple automated workflows.
  • Review and analyze HR-related data to uncover trends, insights, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Create clear, user-friendly process documentation, job aids, and guides to support new workflows and tools.
  • Gather feedback from HR partners and stakeholders and recommend iterative improvements.

Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with AI tools required. Strong preference to Microsoft Copilot experience applied in business setting. 
  • Strong interest in process improvement, operations, and emerging technologies
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills to support communication across multiple locations and geographies.
  • Demonstrates a can-do attitude with the ability to respond positively to change. 

 

Experience:

Previous in-office work experience strongly preferred, including previous internships

Solid proficiency using AI tools required, with a strong preference for experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot

Familiarity with HR and HR systems such as Oracle or ADP is a plus

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is beneficial but not required

 

Education:

  • 2-3 years of coursework toward a Bachelor’s or enrolled in Master’s degree in related field of study. 

 

Travel: No travel expected for this role. 

 

Work Environment:

  • Fully onsite office working environment. 
  • Able to work additional hours as necessary to achieve required performance.
  • Requirement to work irregular hours to accommodate global partners across time zones may be required on occasion.
  • Prolonged use of a PC, laptops, display screens.

 

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between ($28.50 and $32.50 per hour) and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.​
