Clinical Research Assistant

We’ve been conducting clinical trials in southern California for 27 years In order to keep growing and helping more patients find hope in their conditions, we’re on the hunt for a team member to join us in our effort as a Clinical Research Assistant.

 

As a Clinical Research Assistant, you’ll assist with clinical trial procedures as an integral part of the research team. Your direction will be assigned by the Site Director, but your day-to-day could take many forms. From hands-on time with patients to processing and shipping out lab specimens or touching up on protocol training, everything you do plays an essential role in advancing tomorrow’s medicine— today.

 

We believe in sweating the small stuff—here’s a list of responsibilities you can expect to be involved in:

  • Assist with laboratory functions such as collecting lab samples, maintaining lab kits, processing lab samples, and shipping labs (must be comfortable with bodily fluids and bonus points if you're interested in training in phlebotomy)
  • Perform visit assessments such as weight, blood pressure and ECG
  • Provide administrative support to the research team members
  • Protocol-specific training
  • Communicate effectively and work in collaboration with the research team in order to meet research study objectives
  • Aid in recruitment and phone screening of potential patients utilizing patient database and prospective patient database
  • Comply with institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Manage the storage and retention of study documents as per outlined in study protocols
  • Prioritize workload, plan, organize, track, and follow up on projects and tasks with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks accurately
  • Complete word processing, spreadsheet, and database data entry, including, but not limited to, correspondence, records, reports, scanning, emailing, copying, and other tasks as directed by the study. These are done neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct patient visits, in-person and via phone calls

 

Hours:  Mondays through Fridays, 8:00am-5:00pm (sometimes flexing to 7:00am-4:00pm due to patient needs, as required)

Location:  Onsite in Rolling Hills Estates, CA (near Palos Verdes)

Pay:  $18-25/hr (dependent upon depth of skills and prior experience)
