Operations & Supply Planning Manager
About Prind
(P)RiND makes artisanal oven-baked Parmesan pops crafted from world-class Parmesan with 30g of protein and just four all-natural ingredients, delivering a crunchy snack that’s naturally lactose- and gluten-free. Founded in December of 2024, we are backed by the Co-Founder of DoorDash, the SVP of Feastables, the President of Mike's Hot Honey, and the University of Chicago.
We are currently in 200 retailers, including Citarella, Foxtrot, Royal Blue Grocer, Meadow Lane, and Pop Up Grocer, with reorders of over +400 cases a month in NY and Chicago alone. Additionally, we have found incredible traction in offices and hospitality, being the highest velocity snack in California Tech offices with over 12,800 packs ordered in the last 3 weeks, and Deloitte, in addition to being the highest velocity snack in all UChicago Locations, the Ned Nomad, Hilton NYC, and both the Park Hyatt and Hyatt Regency Chicago.
This role is our first core operations hire, a foundational position responsible for building and running the systems that keep the business moving.
Culture
(P)RiND is the people’s snack. Teo and Walshy started selling the pops, cooking them out of their UChicago College dorm kitchen, to fix the fundamentally broken U.S. snacking industry, where consumers are forced to compromise on health, taste, accessibility, convenience, or sustainability whenever snacking.
Operations & Supply Planning Manager (Foundational Hire) – (P)RiND Job Description
The Role
We’re looking for a highly capable, detail-oriented operator who can own supply planning, forecasting, and day-to-day execution across our supply chain.
This is not a “manager of managers” role. This is a builder role.
You will:
- Forecast demand and plan supply
- Own purchase orders (POs) end-to-end
- Support financial planning through inventory and cost visibility
- Coordinate across co-packers, packaging, and ingredients
- Help scale systems that don’t yet exist
Core Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Forecasting
- Build and maintain demand forecasts across channels
- Translate forecasts into production and purchasing plans
- Monitor inventory levels and prevent stockouts/overages
Procurement & POs
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders
- Own supplier communication and timelines
- Ensure cost accuracy and margin awareness
Operations Execution
- Coordinate with co-packers (e.g., Assembler’s Chicago and others)
- Manage packaging, seasoning, and raw material supply
- Support new store onboarding and order fulfillment
Financial & Systems Support
- Work closely with accounting (we use QuickBooks or similar)
- Build basic financial literacy into operations (COGS, margins, cash flow awareness)
- Help implement lightweight ERP/process systems over time
Who You Are
Must-Haves
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized
- Strong problem solver with high ownership
- Comfortable doing manual, hands-on work (POs, spreadsheets, coordination)
- Financially literate or eager to become so
- Curious, proactive, and resourceful
Ideal Background
- Early-career (hungry, high-growth mindset)
- Former athlete or highly competitive background preferred
- Experience in operations, supply chain, engineering, or food science is a plus—but not required
- Technical aptitude > years of experience
Mindset Fit
- You don’t wait for instructions—you figure things out
- You are comfortable being wrong and learning fast
- You take pride in doing the unglamorous work well
- You want to build something, not just manage it
Final Note
We’re building a team of people who can own outcomes, not just tasks. If you’re looking to grow fast, take responsibility early, and be part of building a company from the ground up, this is that opportunity.
