Charity Event Manager

Charity Event Manager Elite Exposure — Indianapolis, IN

About the Role

Elite Exposure is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Charity Event Manager to join our team in Indianapolis. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising and charity events on behalf of our nonprofit clients, building meaningful community connections that drive donations and awareness. Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute charity events from concept to completion, including logistics, venue coordination, and vendor management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for nonprofit clients, ensuring their goals and expectations are met at every event
  • Recruit, coordinate, and manage volunteers and event-day staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Develop event timelines, budgets, and post-event reports to keep clients informed and projects on track
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, and nonprofit organizations
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and outreach teams to promote events through social media, email campaigns, and community channels
  • Represent Elite Exposure and client organizations professionally at events and community functions
  • Maintain accurate records of event activity, donor interactions, and outcomes using CRM software
  • Research prospective nonprofit clients, sponsors, and community partners to support business development

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field — or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working directly with clients, donors, and the public in a professional setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work evenings and weekends as events require

Preferred (not required):

  • 1–2 years of experience in event planning, nonprofit work, fundraising, or a related field
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar tools
  • Experience managing volunteers or coordinating event logistics
  • Knowledge of social media marketing or digital promotion strategies
  • Existing relationships within the Indianapolis nonprofit or community sector
