Researcher Associate Position
The Beas lab is seeking a motivated researcher associate to join our team.
About the lab:
The Beas lab uses a combination of behavior, transgenic mice, viral tools, calcium imaging, pharmacology, and optogenetics to elucidate the neural processes that guide motivation.
Our mission:
To conduct scientific research in a supportive, inclusive environment that values teaching, mentorship, and outreach.
Key duties for this position include:

Working with and handling rodents (mice)

Learn and be proficient at stereotaxic surgeries

Learn and be proficient at histological techniques, microscopy

Make reagents/solutions

Handle biohazardous waste

Stocking lab supplies

Learn neurobiology and the neurobiological underpinnings of psychiatric diseases, and experimental designs to help with projects in the lab
