Digital Marketing Intern

Job Overview

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Summer Intern to support our marketing team with email campaign development and execution. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional with hands-on experience or strong interest in Pardot / Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (MCAE) and B2B digital marketing.

 

The intern will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and our external agency partner to help bring campaigns to life—from concept through deployment and performance tracking.

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

 

During the internship, you will take ownership of 2–3 key projects with clear deliverables, such as:

End-to-End Campaign Build & Launch

  • Plan, build, QA, and deploy a complete email campaign in Pardot, including audience segmentation, email design, and automation workflow setup
  • Campaign Optimization & Performance Analysis
  • Analyze an active campaign, identify opportunities to improve engagement (open rate, CTR), implement optimizations, and present results and recommendations
  • Nurture Program Development
  • Assist in building or refining a multi-step nurture journey, including content mapping, timing strategy, and automation logic
  • Data Quality & Segmentation Project
  • Audit and improve database segmentation and list hygiene to enhance targeting and deliverability

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with marketing automation programs like Pardot / Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (MCAE), HubSpot, Adobe Marketo or similar required
  • Advanced proficiency: MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams 
  • Understanding of email marketing principles and digital campaign execution
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) a plus
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email editing
  • Familiarity with marketing automation workflows and segmentation strategies
  • Experience working with or alongside external agencies
  • Excellent written, communication and organizational skills, with keen attention to details. 
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills. 

 

Minimum Requirements:  minimum requirements for the job

  • Currently a junior or senior student attending a 4-year undergraduate program, or working towards a Master's degree in a related field. 
  • GPA of 3.0 and higher is desired
