Job Summary / About the Role:
We're looking for a Finance Intern to join Brick's finance team for the summer, working directly with our Head of Finance. You'll support core accounting and reporting processes, assist with targeted cost-saving initiatives, and help identify ways to streamline finance operations. This is a high-ownership role with real responsibility and the potential to continue part-time into the school year based on performance.
Location:
This role is based in our Chicago office and follows a standard 40-hour (9–5) schedule, with work-from-home Fridays available.
What You’ll Do:
Key projects:
- Assist with targeted cost-saving initiatives, from analysis through execution
- Assist in centralizing key company data to support business operations and strategic initiatives
Day-to-day support:
- Support core accounting processes and financial reporting
- Help streamline finance operations, including through AI-powered tools
- Support ad-hoc finance and accounting projects as needed
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- Currently enrolled in a finance, accounting, or related undergraduate program, entering your junior or senior year with a GPA of at least 3.5
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in-person from our Chicago office
Preferred:
- Prior finance or accounting internship experience
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel
- Prior experience in QuickBooks, Ramp, and similar platforms
- Proactive, self-starter mindset
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
