Campaign Intern
The Mike for Tennessee team is ready to accept interns and fellows who are eager to contribute to the campaign process. Whether you are interested in organizing and the political process, design and communications, or even memes and social media, we can’t wait to meet you.
There are a variety of roles and responsibilities in a Congressional race, and we are looking forward to finding a place for you. This is not a desk job - you'll get the chance to meet new people, interface with community and political organizations. You’ll also learn political strategy, communication techniques, and novel ways to reach voters in regular seminsars with field-leading consultants, strategists and political leaders.
While students will have a front-row seat to one of the most anticipated races in the state, we are also offering a robust, stuctured curriculum that both develops theory and affords the opportunity for rapid practice. This program is designed to complement coursework in political science, communications, journalism, and related fields. Students will develop important skills such as strong interpersonal communication, time management, and research. This is an excellent chance to explore a dynamic career path, both in Middle Tennessee and across the country.
We are seeking commitments of between 12 and 20 hours per week, offer a modest stipend to help offset costs, and will be happy to coordinate with schools or other organizations to satisfy internship, volunteer or community service requirements.
