THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL INTERNSHIP
Most internships have you watching, waiting, and sitting in meetings that don't involve you. T his is not that. At San Miguel Family Foods, you will be in the room where things happen, filming every week. You will be working directly alongside the founders of a company in full-growth mode, building something from the ground up in the U.S. market. If you want to learn how a brand is built, this is where you do it.
WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY BE DOING
–
Film day-to-day brand life — products, founder moments, behind-the-scenes, food, culture, activations
–
Edit and ship 5 to 10 short-form content pieces per week for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
–
Take high-quality photos for campaigns and social
–
Maintain a fast, organized content pipeline
–
Work directly with the creative lead to make sure output reflects the brand's voice and
taste
–
Explore new formats, styles, and ideas — and execute them
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
–
Strong filming instinct — you see angles, light, and moments naturally
–
Strong editing instinct — you understand pacing, rhythm, and what keeps people
watching
–
DaVinci Resolve skills are a must
–
Comfortable with photography when needed
–
Able to move fast without needing to be told what to do
–
Understands what makes short-form content actually engaging
–
Can thrive in a scrappy, high-output, creative environment

San Miguel Family Foods is a fourth-generation, Mexican-owned food company expanding
rapidly into the U.S. market. We make authentic, convenient, better-for-you ready-to-eat meals
— tamales, rice cups, beans, and salsas — and we are in the middle of building the brand from
the ground up in the U.S. You will not be an intern fetching coffee. You will be inside the brand,
creating the content that introduces San Miguel to hundreds of thousands of people. The work
you do here will be visible, real, and meaningful.
This is remote, you have to live in San Diego, and there is no set schedule but we can
talk about it and organize.
