IMAX Visitor Services Lead (2nd Shift)

The IMAX Visitor Services Lead (2nd Shift) position  supports the mission of the Tennessee Aquarium to connect people with nature and empower them to make informed decisions about water and wildlife. The IMAX Visitor Services Lead is responsible  for assisting the IMAX Theater Managers  in coordinating all floor activities, implementing policies  for all departmental staff, and ensuring proper nightly closing procedures of the IMAX Theater.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assists  in supporting, supervising, developing, organizing, and coordinating the activities of staff regarding ticket scanning, theater loading, theater, and lobby cleaning.
2. Updates  staff on special events, promotions, movie schedules, procedures, and general information.
3. Responsible for the closing of the IMAX building each shift, including a walk-through to ensure the building is clean  and  secure.
4. Ensures  the smooth and even flow of visitors through the  IMAX by assisting  in the loading/unloading of the theater.
5. Handles  issues/escalations, that may arise with guests in which staff are not able to deal with on their own. 
6. Helps  to direct staff and visitors in an  emergency to  prevent injuries or accidents.
7. Assists with the regular operation of the projection system as well as maintaining inventory and cleaning of 3D Glasses
8. Must  be able to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management including two-way radio traffic.
9. Ensures that  all equipment is stored and secured properly at the end of the shift.
10. Executes  and maintains Core Values and Service Standards. 
11. Helps to  monitor all areas of the buildings to ensure problems are reported and fixed immediately so that wear  and tear are kept to a minimum.

Key Requirements
• 2 + years in customer service
• Prior supervisory  experience is an asset
• Exceptional supervisory/customer service skills
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Positive attitude with guests and co-workers at all times
• The ability to work with large crowds


Full-time, hourly ($16.00/hour); No set schedule, 2nd shift only. Some holiday, weekend, and evening work is required as needed.
