Video and Podcast Studio Design & Media Production (Foundational Build)

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Digital Media or Film student for a unique, ground-up internship. This isn't a "grab the coffee" role—you will be an integral part of designing and launching a professional video demonstration and podcast studio from the hardware up.

If you are obsessed with technical setups, lighting grids, and creating the perfect acoustic environment, this project is your blank canvas.

Key Responsibilities

Studio Design & Layout: Assist in the spatial planning of a multi-purpose studio space, focusing on optimizing camera angles for both top-down technical demonstrations and traditional podcast formats.

Acoustic Treatment: Research and implement sound-dampening solutions and acoustic paneling to ensure broadcast-quality audio.

Equipment Integration: Help select, install, and cable professional-grade gear, including cameras, studio lighting (Key, Fill, and Backlighting), and audio interfaces.

Workflow Development: Assist in creating a "one-button" production workflow to streamline recording and live-streaming sessions.

Content Testing: Perform test shoots and pilots to calibrate color profiles, audio levels, and set aesthetics.

Technical Skills We’re Looking For

Production Knowledge: Familiarity with the "Exposure Triangle" (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed) and basic three-point lighting setups.

Audio Proficiency: Understanding of signal chains, microphone polar patterns, and basic post-production noise reduction.

Software Savvy: Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Audition) or DaVinci Resolve. Knowledge of OBS or similar streaming software is a major plus.

Problem Solving: A "maker" mindset—willing to pick up a drill or a cable tester to ensure the set is functional and safe.

The Ideal Candidate

Currently enrolled in a Film, Digital Media, or Broadcast Engineering program.

A self-starter who thrives in a "build-it" environment rather than a corporate cubicle.

Highly organized with an eye for detail (cable management is a point of pride for you).

Passionate about the intersection of technical hardware and creative storytelling.

What You’ll Gain

Portfolio Impact: You can point to a functional, professional studio and say, "I helped build that."

Technical Mastery: Hands-on experience with the infrastructure of media production that goes beyond just operating a camera.

Mentorship: Direct collaboration with company leadership to align studio capabilities with brand marketing strategies.

Credit: We are happy to work with your institution to provide documentation for academic credit.
