Digital Content Creator Intern

Girls of Virtue / Men of Vision is a Florida 501(c) (3) organization on a mission to empower & equip young men and women to be grounded spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially. It is important to bring together a community of young women so that they have a safe environment to teach them the proper skills they need to face today’s complex generation. Through mentorship, workshops, and education, we will instill these life skills.

Digital Content Creator Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Design major or enrolled in a related degree program
  • Collaborate with clients to produce high-quality content
  • Ideate, research, and write email newsletters, blogs, and social media posts
  • Troubleshoot & manage client social media, email, and blog platforms
  • Distribute email newsletters on email marketing platforms
  • Adhere to style guidelines and complete projects according to deadlines
  • Visually enhance the online presence of the organization and support the Marketing and Communication team in creating designs 
  • researching marketing trends and running campaigns
  • Photo and video production and editing experience, including script writing
  • Creative, visual design sense with an eye for detail
  • Intimate understanding of the latest design, graphics & marketing trends
  • In-depth knowledge, passion for, and understanding of all aspects of visual content creation

We are seeking interns who possess the initiative and desire to grow and hone their craft. As an Intern, you will be expected to give maximum effort every day you come to work

Through an internship, you will be part of an intern class of six, all in different departments, but working together as one team. As the Digital Content Creator Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain experience in the non-profit sector and interact with other GOV/MOV interns. You will also gain experience applying project management principles, participating in projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This is an unpaid volunteer internship that you can earn school credit for. Based on your internship program, we can work with you to determine how many hours you will work and the objectives your program requires you to meet.

Digital Content Creator Intern Qualifications / Skills:

  • Must have experience with:
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Lightroom, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop 
  • Canva
  • Video Editing Tools (iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Windows Movie Maker)
  • Online engagement
  • Verbal communication
  • Organization
  • Professionalism
  • Customer focus
  • Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Currently seeking a degree in digital marketing/communications, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Successful completion of introductory courses in digital marketing, communications, or equivalent
  • Proficient with the use of Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Google Drive, etc.)
  • Previous experience with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and social media management tools (Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) is a plus
  • Experience working in Canva
  • Prior industry experience is preferred
