Medical Assistant

We’re hiring a Medical Assistant to join our growing clinical team at Nova Vita: A Specialty OBGYN Clinic!

Position Details

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred; however, what matters most is a genuine passion for patient care, experience in the medical field, a willingness to learn, strong initiative, and a heart for service. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and committed to supporting both patients and providers with excellence.

This full-time role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for provider visits by rooming, obtaining vital signs, and documentation in our EHR (AdvancedMD)
  • Assist providers during exams and minor procedures
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks, including specimen collection and processing
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to manage patient records within the EHR system and schedule patient appointments
  • Handle phone calls and other patient communication within the scope of the Medical Assistant role
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms and equipment
  • Adhere to all HIPAA and infection control guidelines

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Current certification (CMA, or equivalent) preferred but not required
  • Basic clinical skills and familiarity with medical terminology
  • Experience with EHR systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Schedule

  • Full-time, 32-40 hours/week
