U.S. Senator Tina Smith - Fall Intern - Saint Paul Office
U.S. Senator Tina Smith’s office is seeking energetic, organized and politically driven college students and/or recent Bachelor degree graduates for our fall internship program. This position provides exposure to the legislative process, while developing a strong understanding of how a congressional office operates. Intern responsibilities, include but are not limited to, answering phones, intaking casework so we can help Minnesotans navigate issues they're having with federal agencies, organizing constituent mail, and assisting outreach staff by attending events, meetings and researching a variety of issues. Payment information: Interns receive a ~$2,700 stipend that is spread out throughout the internship session. Interns are paid on the 5th and 20th of each month. If one of those days falls on a holiday or weekend, interns are paid the business day prior.
