High School Principal

High School Principal - Anzar High School, Aromas-San Juan Unified School District

Full Time Position starting July 1, 2026

Position Overview:
Aromas-San Juan Unified School District (ASJUSD) is seeking an experienced and visionary educational leader to serve as Principal of Anzar High School. The Principal will lead a small, community-centered high school, fostering a culture of academic excellence, equity, and student well-being. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader committed to continuous improvement, strong relationships, and preparing all students for college, career, and life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional leadership to ensure high-quality teaching and learning aligned with California State Standards
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture
• Supervise, support, and evaluate certificated and classified staff
• Use data to drive school improvement efforts and increase student achievement
• Oversee development and implementation of the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)
• Manage school operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and campus safety
• Foster strong partnerships with families, community members, and district leadership
• Support college and career readiness programs, including A–G completion and postsecondary pathways
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and district policies and regulations
• Lead and participate in site and district-level committees and initiatives

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field
• Valid California Administrative Services Credential
• Minimum of 3–5 years of successful teaching experience (high school preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in school leadership or administration
• Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and school improvement practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as an assistant principal or site administrator at the high school level
• Experience in small school or rural district settings
• Background in supporting diverse student populations and promoting equity
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus
