Marketing Communications Specialist
The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a key role in advancing PAMED’s communications strategy by delivering cohesive, engaging messages across multiple platforms. This position is responsible for writing and coordinating marketing content for email campaigns, print materials, press releases, presentations and talking points. This role will also support the organization’s media relations efforts, including drafting press releases and coordinating with media outlets. Ensuring that all member-facing communications reflect our values, voice, and strategic goals. Working closely with the Director of Communications, this position will help shape how we inform, inspire, and connect with our members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content development
- Experience working in a member-based organization, nonprofit, or association setting is a plus
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar)
- Familiarity with social media management tools
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
- Basic video editing a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Word
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Experience with media relations
- Ability to craft a clear, compelling press release
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools
- Ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and platforms
- Comfortable creating both short-form and long-form content across print and digital media
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience working with external vendors (e.g., printers, designers)
