Hourly Seasonal Pool Tech

HOURLY SEASONAL POOL TECH

Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, conducts inspections and determines compliance with public health rules and regulations governing public swimming pools. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
 
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle for transportation to inspections
                       
Preferred Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a laboratory science or public health-based program at a college or university
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: A combination of office and field work, though primarily field work. Office work entails data entry, filing, and customer interaction both in-person and via phone. Field work involves inspections of swimming pools and requires sufficient mobility to kneel and stand along with sufficient visual acuity to accurately assess color ranges or titration endpoints to determine test results. Swimming pool inspections primarily take place outdoors during warm weather months (June – August). Lifting of items during normal work should not exceed 10 pounds.


Salary Information: $18.00 per hr.  40 Hrs./ week | No Benefits
