Entrepreneurship Intern
We are looking to hire 2-3 dedicated interns eager to learn how a small business runs! 6th Man Movers has been growing since 2012. We started with 2 trucks and 10 employees. Since then, we have 3 local offices, 20+ Trucks, over 45 employees, and are currently expanding our storage and warehouse operations. Outside of moving and storage of household items, we also service all deliveries all over Middle Tennessee. We also participate in many community based events, such as Musician's Corner, Light the Nations, Tomato Arts Fest to name just a few. And we even host fundraisers for local school programs.
And this summer we need help capturing content and showcasing our team’s great work! For those who are looking to gain more experience with a business that is in throws of its growing phase this could be a great opportunity.
We have an awesome team with diverse skillsets who love to teach and help others. And while you’d be actively engaged with the operation, you will be helping us capture content for both internal and external platforms, therefore you must be comfortable with using ai platforms and social media.
You will learn about the event process to include but not limited to : marketing for our in community appearances and fundraisers, how to engage with customers over the phone and in person, lead capture, social media planning ,management of digital content, reputation monitoring, advertising partnership collaboration, etc.
You’ll get chance to see the industry and the business through the vantage point of an experienced, entrepreneurial team. With a great attitude and willingness to work hard we know that you will add a lot of value to this already seasoned brand. You will be working for both the operational leadership team and the booking department depending on that week’s activity schedule.
The work schedule is very flexible. We make the schedule a month in advance and will approve all request off‘s as long as we have notice 2 weeks before. We do want you to be able to enjoy summer too! Although we do expect you to work in a part-time capacity, with some weekends. And we found it to be beneficial to expect a minimum of 15 hours per week and a maximum of 32 hours per week. We want our interns to be able to get what they want out of this role so we will be sure to talk about any specific goals or specific outcomes wanted to achieve in advance.

This is a paid internship, however, if you are looking to earn course credits we can discuss how we can help make that happen too, as a lot of programs will accept our approach. It just depends on the school and area of study.
