Job Summary
The Corporate Compliance Analyst plays a key role in supporting organizational compliance efforts, including the management of certificates, business licenses, unclaimed property, and general compliance activities. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills, a foundational understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to effectively communicate compliance-related information across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all certificates required for business operations
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure timely renewals
- Ensure proper documentation and accessibility of all certificates
- Assist with the preparation and submission of business license applications
- Track license expirations and ensure ongoing compliance with requirements
- Maintain accurate records of all business licenses
- Support unclaimed property processes, including due diligence and owner notification
- Prepare and submit unclaimed property reports and remittances to state authorities
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation related to unclaimed property
- Assist in monitoring adherence to internal compliance policies and procedures
- Identify and assess potential compliance risks
- Support implementation and enforcement of compliance initiatives
- Assist in developing and delivering compliance training programs
- Provide support during internal and external audits, including documentation preparation
- Communicate compliance requirements and updates to internal stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all compliance-related tasks
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Science, or a related field required
- Previous experience in a compliance-related role preferred
- Basic knowledge of business licensing, regulatory requirements, and state unclaimed property laws
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to track deadlines and manage renewals effectively
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Working knowledge of SQL preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
