Garden Maintenance Intern

Eco Logic – Garden Maintenance Intern (Part-Time, Paid | Summer–Fall 2026)

Eco Logic is a high-end outdoor living and organic garden company serving residential clients in Deal and Rumson, New Jersey. For over 20 years, our business has grown primarily through referrals, built on quality, professionalism, and a niche expertise in organic gardens and outdoor living spaces.

We are hiring a Garden Maintenance Intern for a paid, part-time role with the potential to grow into a long-term position. This is a hands-on field role for someone who wants real experience, not a passive internship.

Position Overview
This role involves working on high-end residential properties to care for and maintain organic gardens while learning the operational, horticultural, and client-facing side of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and care for residential organic gardens
  • Assist with planting, pruning, harvesting, and seasonal garden upkeep
  • Apply organic soil amendments and sustainable growing practices
  • Support pest mitigation and crop health strategies
  • Take site visit photos for internal reporting and optional social media content
  • Communicate professionally with clients on-site when needed
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Schedule and Location

  • Start date: May 15, 2026
  • End date: October 2026, with the possibility of staying on longer
  • 25–40 hours per week depending on workload
  • Monday through Thursday preferred, with possible Fridays
  • Candidates must be able to commute to Rumson and Deal, NJ
  • Work may also begin from Eco Logic HQ at 510 Colts Neck Road, Farmingdale, NJ
  • Travel between properties may be required using company vehicles

Compensation

  • $20 per hour
  • Additional hands-on learning opportunities on the construction side of the business for those interested

Who We’re Looking For
Preferred majors include Agronomy, Biology, or related fields. This is an entry-level opportunity, though some field or outdoor work experience is helpful.

Candidates should:

  • Be comfortable working outdoors in summer conditions
  • Be physically capable of field-based work
  • Be comfortable around high-end clients
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Present themselves professionally
  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
