ModernWell—the Twin Cities' first women-centered co-working and event space—is seeking a General Manager to uphold the company's mission of fostering a kind and inclusive community where community members are celebrated and supported both professionally and personally.
The ideal candidate has the strengths and experience to contribute to the ModernWell’s service excellence and growth. We are looking for a connector, someone who continuously builds and fosters relationships with members and the broader Minneapolis/Saint Paul community as ModernWell serves as a hub for business leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives needing an inspiring space to work, connect and grow.
As the manager of our location, we are going to rely on your keen business, sales, and operational sense to ensure a smooth operation of the space, lead the ModernWell team, and take responsibility for the overall success of the ModernWell Minneapolis location. We are looking for a problem solver, natural leader, and experience creator for our community.
Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Duties
- Provide exceptional hospitality while in the space and serve as a role model for all staff members to ensure the highest hospitality standards at all times.
- Manage, monitor, and provide feedback to all ModernWell staff members.
- Manage the ModernWell Events Coordinator
- Responsible for the hiring, training, and scheduling of ModernWell staff members.
- Ensure that all front desk duties and procedures are complete with each shift.
- Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the space.
- Work with accountant on Quickbooks management, P and L analysis, budgeting and forecasting
Member Contracts/Retention/Leads
- Serve as point person for all membership contract inquiries.
- Develop and execute new member acquisition and retention plans.
- Identify and execute opportunities in potential new markets for member leads.
- Identify problems and provide solutions for member complaints and requests.

- You have a background in operations management, strong budgeting skills, and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of customer service experience
- Strong leadership skills to create a positive and productive working environment.
- Exceptional customer service and hospitality skills.
- Experience in the co-working industry is a plus.
